than ten years service as a community development practitioner to the position related
to Agriculture – Resilience and Livelihoods. I am Bachelors’ Degree holder in
Rural Development and Agribusiness and have an advanced diploma in soil and
water management. I acquired considerable programme and portfolio management
skills while serving as a team leader with international
development and humanitarian Non Governmental organizations. As a
passionate community development facilitator, I trust my contribution in the
position related to Agriculture – Resilience and Livelihoods will absolutely
magnify the impact of Livelihood and Resilience components of (the organization)
among programme participants.



In addition to food security programming experience, as an area development
programme manager in World Vision, I acquired talents to lead vulnerable community
members to restore human dignity through effective Local Value Chain Development models and Community Self Help Group approaches. Together with Climate
Smart Agriculture practices, strategies
including integration of lessons learnt and best practices, active community
participation and effective collaboration with programme stakeholders will lead
me to achieve best programme outcomes. My best past professional outcomes
combine social cohesion, effective natural resources management, and
sustainable human transformation.



Serving as Resilience and Livelihood Sector
lead, I led development practitioners to learn, innovate and facilitate
community members to cope with life threatening shocks and increase their
resilience mechanisms through enterprise
development processes and access to markets. To keep programme commitments
made to donors and project beneficiaries; I monitored, conducted evaluation and
learning events, developed responses to lessons learnt to achieve programme
outcomes. In addition to effective programme reviews, financial resources were
planned, managed and more emphasis put to monitor cash flow. From financial
reviews exercises, best practices were identified, shared and variance
explanations were documented and shared with programme management.



Serving as the Head of Farm Enterprise
Development Unit with the Swedish Cooperative Centre, I had opportunities to
co-facilitate the development of farm
based cooperatives in east Africa, especially Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and
Tanzania. At the completion of the one year course on Leadership and strategic
management with the Uganda cooperative alliance I impacted cooperative the formation of service provider cooperatives
and marketing groups in Rwanda and Kenya. To harness staff motivation to
organizational performance my best strategy includes creating team work spirit,
effective feedback mechanism and safe working environment among employees. My
professional records include organizational and partnership development, effective
donor relations, role model team leader, passionate and committed community development
facilitator.
